Silica sol usually refers to a colloidal solution of silicon dioxide (SiO₂) particles suspended in water, with a particle size usually less than 100 nanometers. "Large-particle silica sol" refers to silica sol with larger particle sizes, usually ranging from 100 nanometers to several microns. Compared with traditional nano-silica sol, large-particle silica sol has higher stability, better mechanical properties and stronger heat resistance in certain applications.
