When spacecrafts re-enter the atmosphere or electronics endure extreme temperatures, a material called epoxy phenyl silicone oil plays a pivotal role. This modified silicone combines the adhesion of epoxy groups and the heat resistance of phenyl groups, chemically bonding with epoxy resins/polyurethanes to enhance impact resistance (-60℃~300℃), atomic oxygen erosion resistance (space-grade), and insulation (breakdown voltage ≥5kV).
Key Innovations:
Flexible at Extreme Temperatures: Phenyl groups prevent crystallization in cold environments;
Water-Repellent & Durable: Contact angle >110° for outdoor longevity;
Stress-Relieving: Reduces resin cohesion energy to prevent cracks.
Currently used in satellite coatings and 5G encapsulation, it may soon expand to新能源 battery separators.
