At present, water-based wood paint is mainly formulated using polymer emulsion as the film-forming substance and adding various additives. The polymer emulsions used mainly include polyacrylate emulsions and polyurethane emulsions. Compared with traditional paints, water-based wood paints still have some shortcomings, such as low hardness, high temperature retackiness, slow drying speed, and slightly poor gloss.
By adding an appropriate amount of special silica sol for water-based wood paint, the above shortcomings can be overcome and the overall performance of water-based wood paint can be improved.
Silica sol is a water dispersion of nano-silica, in which the inorganic nano-silica particles have a very high hardness. During the drying and film-forming process of the water-based wood paint, the nano-silica particles are cross-linked with each other to form an inorganic network structure, making the The paint film becomes an organic/inorganic hybrid system. The existence of inorganic network structure in the paint film will significantly improve the overall performance of the paint film, such as:
(1) The hardness is increased by 1-2H (pencil hardness).
(2) The drying speed is increased by 20-50%.
(3) High temperature back-sticking is improved.
